In this Antarctic summer of 2022/2023, LOA scientists are participating in Operation Antarctica 41. During the first phase, several simultaneous measurements of the ocean and of the atmosphere in the Brazil-Malvinas Confluence (CBM) region, aboard the Polar Maximiano Ship (H-41). In this phase, a sequence of oceanic vortices (meanders) was sampled, in addition to the ocean front at CBM.

The sea surface temperature (SST) map shows the ship's course. On it, the dots show the locations of vertical soundings of the ocean and of the atmosphere, and the line the continuous measurements made on the surface.
