In recent days, LOA researchers have installed the micrometeorological tower on the bow of the Brazilian Navy's Polar Ship (NPo) Maximiano (H-41), to carry out fieldwork during the 40th Brazilian Antarctic Operation. This campaign is carried out within the scope of the ATMOS Project. After the unexpected interruption of face-to-face activities and field research at PROANTAR due to COVID-19, the team returns to sea to collect data important for the investigation of ocean-atmosphere interaction processes, through measurements of turbulent fluxes of heat, CO2 and momentum at the interface air-sea in the Atlantic sector of the Southern Ocean.
